Would you want to re-visit a resto-bar if it has to offer good food ONLY? Well, may be a Take-Away joint would be a better option. When it comes to sitting down and enjoying a meal, it is more about the ambiance, décor, service and of course the music that hooks me on.
On an otherwise boring Thursday evening, I decided to do something fun and catch up with a friend at in Bandra West, the most buzzing suburb of Mumbai. We wanted to try a new place and thanks to my newly acquired French lessons, I decided to go to Santé that is said as ‘cheers to good health’ while raising a toast.
Located at C’est La Vie, on Hill Road, initially it was the décor that seemed inviting, minimalistic wooden furnishings and very American in style. As we sat our selves comfortably it was the music that added to the amazing lounging experience. Great numbers from the yesteryears were belted out and we just felt ‘WoW’ with every song!
The entertainment quotient was high and it was time to order food finally! We started out with Bombaiya Chicken wings that tasted just perfect with the drinks. Spoilt for choice selecting from the exotic concoctions, we settled for a mocktail and a cocktail pick for the evening. So it was Spiced Mandarin Mojito and Jack Black. As we wanted to keep the dinner light yet fun Vegetable Malabari Quesadilla fitted in just perfectly with the mood and the appetite.
Now we want to head back for more, soon! On the list to try are – the old school favourites from the menu like Gymkhana Sandwich, Baida Roti and Kheema and Egg Bhurji on Brioche. Along with these, Dairy Milk Martini and Vanilla infused Rum Sorbet are still on our mind.
So those who are looking for that ultimate party zone that is fun and relaxing at the same time, simply head to Santé! It is our ‘WoW’ find so far for this party season.
