7 Bitter-Sweet Things about Chocolates…

If there is one thing that makes me happy instantly, it is chocolate. I can vouch that not only children but we adults too love this soul food!

There is always a debate that these sweet treats lead to weight gain and pimples. On International Chocolate Day, I had a tètè-a-tètè with Andaleeb Sahar Sayed, Executive Pastry Chef of The Lalit Mumbai, on the bitter sweet things about Chocolates.


♡ Best time to have chocolates: Before workout as you get a sugar rush and instant energy boost.

♡ It is a fact: That chocolates release a happy hormone ‘endorphine’ into the blood once you consume it.

♡ Have it: If you need to gain weight quickly.


Look for: A higher coco percentage in dark chocolates.

♤ Weigh it out: Limit your chocolate indulgence to 10 to 15 grams everyday.

♤ Must avoid: Chocolate as desserts, specially post dinner.

 ♧ WoW TIP: Always read the label for the date of expiry and how to preserve the chocolate. Also do make sure that you are not allergic to any of the ingredients.
