Why City of Joy…

Last week was different.  I was there in my hometown,  Kolkata. It was very hot and humid but the feeling of warmth over powered me. The city of joy has a way of wooing people, you need to be there to feel the happy vibe in the air.

Now I live in Mumbai,  the city of dreams.  I love being a part of this non-stop, buzzing lifestyle. Some people find it ‘fast’ and living in a hurry. I like the need of speed.  But when I revisited my hometown after a long time,  I had the luxury to sit back,  relax and unwind like there is no tomorrow.

What I realised from my recent experience is that the ‘luxury of time’ differs from one city to another. While in Mumbai people run to make money,  in Kolkata people would rather let go the money to enjoy time.
Here’s how you should live it up, next time you find yourself in my City of Joy:

FOOD To EAT
👍 Alu Posto for those who love veg, fish curry for those who relish non-veg food.
👍 From my all-time-favourite junk food: jhal muri, phuchka, rolls.
MEMORIES AS TREAT
💜Tram ride around the city in the morning.
💜Visit the Indian Museum and the National Library for the old world charm.
💜In the evening, take a walk at Victoria Memorial hall.
💜A boat ride on Gangese later in the evening.
