From my anchoring journey so far, I have learnt that you can have the script planned out but to receive the love of your audience –
You need to be yourself 🙋
How it Began…
Since my childhood days, I have enjoyed entertaining guests at home, with my dance performance, story telling or poems.
That is where my grooming as an emcee began and has helped me to become a professional anchor today!
Lessons Learnt So Far…
If you get the 3Cs clear, you will click with the audience.
- CONFIDENCE: is the skill you need to sharpen while you are there in front of people you may or may not know.
- CALMNESS: Don’t expect everyone to be nice around you. There might be stress flying for various reasons, but no bad vibe should affect you. You stay calm and composed to move ahead with the show smoothly.
- CUTENESS: That’s what I prefer to have as my USP instead of trying to be ‘hot’ like the whole world. What makes you unique will always work.
So wear makeup and not mask while you are on stage 🙂
