Getting the festive look right is easy when you mix and match the classy and the contemporary. That’s how you can stay on trend but rope in tradition at the same time. For that Diwali special look, here’s what you can try:
Go Indo-western:You will be able to achieve a boho-fusion look.
• Even if you do not wear ethnic clothes, wear traditional motifs or elements as prints on western silhouettes.
• Make sure the fit is semi-formal and the fabric is classy.
Let your make-up sparkle:Opt for a sparkling eye makeup.
• Outline the eyes neatly with khol pencil and smudge the edges softly. Keeps the line defining the waterline close to the lower lashes sharp.
• Touch up the eyelids with a hint of purple and blend it to the outer corners. From the middle of the upper eyelid smear glitter powder that you like.
• Your best bet can be the latest M.A.C Reflects Pearl in silver or gold to open up your eyes. Brush out the lashes with loads of mascara.
Try head turning hairstyle:Try the side braid that is making heads turn currently. It is simple and you can do it yourself.
• Brush all the hair on one side and start braiding neatly by weaving the strands such that the plait cuts across the face or close to it, like a textured fringe.
• Add an interesting hair accessory to bring on the traditional finish.

Wearing checks can be fun when you sport them interestingly. You can mix and match them with solid colours or go with an all checkered look.
Here’s how to make them look Wow now:
#Pick the size of the checks according to your body type. If you are on the slimmer side, big checks will make your body look more voluptuous. Sport micro-checks if you want to hide those bulges that you have been working on.
#The good news is that checks complement almost every silhouette, so you can style the way you wish. Wear anti-fits for a boho feel while go with more fitted drapes for a smart, uber glam finish.
#Go with the mood and the occasion to wear solid coloured checks or multi-coloured ones. The colour can define the look as casual chic or semi-formal. Go minimal with accessories as a checkered look in itself makes a fashion statement and you would want to avoid any over kill!
When you think of indulging and forgetting about calories…You can never have enough of ice-creams!!!
I had my share of ‘happy high’ digging into an innovative array of flavours at Papacream. This latest outlet in Mumbai does not only serve up exotic frozen desserts but also an experience worth savouring.
Here’s what makes it a WoW hangout:
1# The chocolate and fruit jelly combination of Sushi never tasted better. It is a must try platter and can be shared too.
2# The window décor of a cart wheel with jars of yummy toppings is quite inviting. It is also perfect for a photo backdrop to add onto the memories.
3# The service is quick and thanks to liquid nitrogen technology that makes sure that your ice-cream does not melt into a watery soup easily.
It is Friday evening and you are wondering what to wear, where to go and what to do… Well, I am in that frame of mind right now and have realized that an outfit can actually set the mood for everything else to follow suit. You can call me a ‘fashion show’ addict as I never miss to check out what’s hot on the ramps across the global runways. They not only are a visual treat but can inspire you to look ‘wow’!
I love to experiment but if I feel a designer’s style suits me, I don’t mind picking up more from her collection. Of late, http://www.latej.com has become my ‘go-to’ option. This pink maxi gown makes me feel like a diva.
#The vintage cut work embroidery around the neck makes it ideal attire for a sophisticated occasion.
#The long cuff sleeves upgrade the style quotient to Victorian glamour. So you can bring on the indo-western look effortlessly.
. #While the elastic waist band makes the fit comfortable, the plunging back transforms it to ‘super sexy’!
#A gorgeous mix of georgette and silk fabrics keep the fashion statement regal and classy.

When you wish to wear a tight casual top or a well fitted party dress, the fitting of your innerwear defines the look from within. I decided to shop for fancy yet functional lingerie that would be ‘fabulous, as I am’!
I took my pick from Enamor’s spring/summer 2015 collection with Parisian theme. The Eiffel tower motif which is an iconic symbol for fashion, is my all-time-favourite. So I definitely wanted to select the bra with that print on it as it spelled the elements of glamour, elegance and romance from my dream city, Paris. But what makes it wow is the fact that:
#The fit is perfect and can make any simple outfit that you wear it with, look graceful no matter what is your body shape.
#The satin finish feels good on the skin and is ideal for a hot humid day as well.
#The straps are cute enough to be flaunted with a tube dress without looking OTT (over-the-top) or vulgar at all.
By adding such a ‘confidence booster’ to my wardrobe, I felt WoW!
Women love to ‘day dream’ about a number of things and clothes tops that ‘never-ending’ wish-list…
So if you are still wondering on a Wednesday afternoon what to wear for that Friday evening party, you can start surfing for options like I did. The ‘key words’ that I had in mind were –#Hollywood #fashion #redcarpt #style #glamour #elegance and more…
Though there were loads of options to choose from, I finally found this attire from La Tej by fashion designer Tejal Kandpile, that made me feel like a princess in a wink.
Here’s what makes it ‘WoW’:
#The blend of fabrics like cotton, satin and Georgette make this ‘diva silhouette’ a perfect amalgamation of structure and fluidity. You can wear this gown to an evening do and look red-carpet -chic instantly.
#The colour scheme complements most complexions as this maxi dress has a rust red bustier teamed up with grayish blue long skirt. The matte gold, sequin embellishments upgrade the royal feel of the attire.
#The curved embroidered yoke, the motif of two fierce lions roaring and the keyhole cut-work will boost your glam quotient effortlessly.
Keep the makeup classy to complement the ensemble. Keep the skin dewy with a hint of your natural glow, define the eyes with a soft, smokey brown eye shadow and opt for a classy red pout to finish this look. Leave the hair open to cascade down naturally over one shoulder and make heads turn.
Looking gorgeous just got easy!!!

Today is not an ordinary Friday if you plan to celebrate Tequila Day… Post-work and pre-weekend most of us anyways plan to catch up with friends over a drink and here’s how you can get ready to say cheers to some good fun!
To office Outfit:
You can wear your short evening dress to office if you do not wish to carry change with you. Simply make it look more formal by throwing on a cape, crop jacket or blazer.
Makeup: Minimal works best when at work, so keep it simple with a good base for the skin to look fresh and add a hint of colour to your lips.
Hair: You can try an updo style, bun or even a power pony tail for work.
Outfit: Simply remove the cape, crop jacket or blazer that you donned for the formal feel all day. Less accessories work better, so keep it to chimes, watch and a clutch purse.
Makeup: Upgrade your day makeup look with smoky eyes and glossy pout. You can highlight your cheekbones with a dash of blush and keep it sexy chic.
Hair: Pull down your hair and toss it on one side. Feel Wow as you look back into the mirror and go party!
