It is interesting how there is a cultural tie to be discovered across countries. The human emotions remain the same and that becomes the binding factor. As a Pre-Diwali treat, I celebrated the Japanese Lantern Fiesta along with Piramal Realty. This cross-cultural collaboration as a part of The Aranya Festival, celebrates a wow lifestyle experience for those who have not visited Japan yet.
If there is one thing that makes me happy instantly, it is chocolate. I can vouch that not only children but we adults too love this soul food!
There is always a debate that these sweet treats lead to weight gain and pimples. On International Chocolate Day, I had a tètè-a-tètè with Andaleeb Sahar Sayed, Executive Pastry Chef of The Lalit Mumbai, on the bitter sweet things about Chocolates.
#1 As far as the exotic recipes are concerned, they are from the legendary Chef Imtiaz Qureshi with a modern presentation by the sous chefs. #2 While you are bound to get spoilt for choice, some of the ‘must-try’ dishes from the menu are – Starter: Kakori Kabab – the skewers of minced lamb are grilled on charcoal embers and will simply melt in your mouth. Main course: Khameeri roti – is soft bread cooked in clay oven and topped with exotic saffron. Safed murgh supreme – has strips of tender chicken tossed up in mild spiced cream and yellow chili gravy. Desserts: Jalebi pearls as the name suggests, the caviar of jalebi are worth savouring with royal rabri by the side. #3 The view of Marine Drive is completely breath-taking! You would want to sit by the huge glass windows overlooking the Arabian Sea and get mesmerized. #4 While the décor is classy, the ambiance is warm and welcoming. #5 It is a place ideal for a traditional, sit-down family buffet but you can also enjoy some couple time or ‘me-time’ there as well. – Sayanti Banerjee

# Don’t give a miss to breakfast or indulge in the left-overs from the weekend party. Eat a healthy meal first thing in the day and say ‘Hi’ to oats, milk and fruits may be?
# Offload the ‘weekend calories overload’ and hit the gym. You can burn off those that you indulged in and feel less guilty right away!
# Say cheers with green tea and may be a single cup of coffee today.
# Have an early dinner and keep it a healthy one too! Salads and soups can befriend you this evening…
